Well, so much for the expected slowdown :P Things have slowed down... a bit. I had a nice Christmas day with family (a bit nutty and eclectic, but that's nothing new). Hard to believe I am no longer a "30-something." My birthday was fairly uneventful. I worked, taught class then covered a local barbershop chorus for a story on the actual day. I met with family for breakfast the next day, which was very nice ( Read more... )

The weather has been up and down, but I think (I hope) we have finally seen the last of the sub-zero temperatures. We've had a couple of heavy snows. This past Tuesday, I was on my way to teach the computer class. In less than 10 minutes, in about three miles, it went from clear to windy and a few flakes to near whiteout. The sig line describes the past week- sneezing city. The pollen counts are horrible. I know my allergies usually get bad around this time but this is ridiculous.
